My name is Carmen Dailey. I am a fine art photographer based in Omaha, Nebraska. I studied photography at Academy of Art University and got my BFA there. There have been many different types of photography I have tried out with, and I realized that fine art food photography was the strongest kind for me. Artist Statement

My approach to how I want to show food photography is different. Rather than showing picture-perfect shots of the food, I want to show different photos that could be seen as unexpected or imperfect. Meaning, that I want to use food as art, and showing it in unexpected and imperfect ways is my way of giving food photography an artistic approach. To me, it shows how art is never perfect, it is artistic. I believe that my collection of work will help people look at food photography with a more artistic approach, rather than looking at the perfect photograph when it comes to food photography, because I believe that you can be very creative when it comes to food photography, and food photography can definitely be used as art. I want to be able to show the true beauty, art, and creativity of food photography.
